WordPress as a Content Management SystemI know how to blog… well sort of, but originally I really just began using this site as a testing ground for Content Management.  My thinking was to consider using WordPress as a foundation to build a couple sites we were contracting on in August of 2010.

Turns out we used iWeb on a new Mac for those sites, which worked fine for our purposes.  More on that in another post.  However, I had opened up the door to something new and it was too late.  I had to figure out this concept of WordPress blogging and harness its power as a content management system. Call it professional obsession, or an obsession about which I wanted to make a profession.

The short story is I stumbled across this website and began to look into the possibilities of utilizing iThemes Builder. I won’t lie, it has not been easy.  Certainly I could have been up and running with one of the simpler themes (premium or free) available elsewhere, but I can see the potential of iThemes Builder and more importantly, I can see the value of the training and sharing of wisdom built within the iThemes and WebDesign.com communities.

Where this will take me… hopefully, to the Pacific Northwest, but that’s another story.
